Book Club
Our first meeting was on the 28th of August 2020. Before that, all members had already joined the Book Club's Whatsapp group and were told to enroll ourselves into the Book Club's Google Classroom where it would be easier to give tasks and upload finished products.
There were three lovely lecturers in Book Club, whuch were Madam Fatimah Azzahra and Madam Natasha Eliana that taught my class and Madam Atikah.
We introduced ourselves during the first meeting via Zoom, I still find it surprising that there were many different students from different courses, didn't know what I expected honestly. We were also told about what activities the Book Club plans to do throughout the semester.
The second meeting which was on September 4th 2020. We were left with a task todo a book review! I did my book review about one of my all time favourites The Program by Suzanne Young.
I read the novel when I was around 13 or 14 if I'm not mistaken and usually I barely remember most things I read but because I loved that book so much, I remember most of the details!!!
The book is a series but I never got my hands on the books after the first one I own which does make me a bit sad but I'm still searching for them and I will add them to my collection one day!
I actually don't read as much as I used to when i was younger and joining the book club was one of my main reasons to try and rekindle my love for reading.
There was a week where the library organised a few competitions!
Me and Meen joined the Blind Date with a Book activity and Scavenger Hunt. Meen won a prize for How Many Books is this Tower made of and I won a prize for Blind Date with a Book BUT for Scavenger Hunt, the event was in pairs, me and Meen were actually the last pair to register for the competition but we won first place^^
The prizes were surprising to be honest hahah and it was kind of difficult to bring to big baskets. Here are some pictures and Fai decided to join in as well.
Scavenger
For our third meeting on the 25th of September, since we were briefed about it in the first meeting, we were to record or take pictures of our mini library or book collection at home.
This meeting took place after a four day break so members that went back home could record and edit at home whereas for those who were still on campus were required to ask for their family members to send the media.
I had lots of fun making this video since I'm not the type to edit videos so it was exciting and something different for me. Please enjoy^^
